But I’d still like the point made more vociferously that unlike Hong Kong, Switzerland etc, the Jersey authorities have been actively raising revenue on behalf of the British Government. Nick Goulding seems to be on a personal mission to defend his members from international competition, but he should perhaps focus his efforts on the Missing Trader Intra-Community (MTIC) VAT fraud which cost between £3.5 billion and £4.85 billion in 2005-06.
